The Arrival of Volkidana is more than a show; it is a ritual of light and gravity. Set against the backdrop of the night sky, this large-scale production transforms urban landscapes and rural horizons into a mythical arena.

About the Creators

 

Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre: Ireland’s national aerial company, known for blending aerial arts with opera, street theatre, and storytelling.

VolkiDána: is a spectacle collective born from a shared hunger for the ritualistic, the ancient, and the bold. Founded by the visionary duo of Bridget Ní Dhuinn and Polina Shapkina, the collective serves as a bridge between two worlds: the grounded craftsmanship of Irish folklore and the ethereal, psychological depths of Slavic myth

Fidget Feet is colloborating with VolkiDána, a newly founded spectacle company led by spectacle artist and designer Bridget Ní Dhuinn and contemporary circus artist and director Polina Shapkina, to create an exciting new large-scale professional show. With plans to produce and tour the show in 2026, we invite you to stay tuned for more details. The Arrival of Volkidána is a flexible, large-scale outdoor production. We provide full technical support, including rigging, safety, and community engagement workshops to accompany the performance.
