Frances Browne Literary Festival
A family day out!
Fidget Feet, the national company for aerial arts in Ireland, in partnership with Donegal Arts Office, are bringing their circus skills workshop to Ballybofey-Stranorlar.
A gentle introduction to aerial dance and circus skills for young people. Parents, guardians, grandparents are welcome.
Join fidget feet for a fun filled workshop in the Balor Arts Centre including swinging flying and spinning!
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
At least one adult required in each party with a max 3 children,
For example. Family tickets. One adult and 1-3 young people OR two adults, 2 children
MININIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT|: 6 years plus
No unaccompanied children

The Frances Browne Literary Festival
celebrates the life and legacy of Frances Browne (1816–1879), the “Blind Poetess of Ulster.”
Rooted in her hometown of Ballybofey-Stranorlar, Co. Donegal, the festival brings together poets, writers, musicians, and communities from Ireland and beyond to share in her spirit of creativity, inclusion, and multilingual expression.

Family Festival Fun with Fidget Feet
Parade Sunday 12.30
Why not get in the festival mood and join the Fidget Feet team as they parade and dance from the old picnic site, Drumboe woods, to St. Columba’s – come dressed up as your favourite fairytale character, a woodland creature or any character from Granny’s Wonderful Chair ! We will meet at 12.30 at the picnic site and we’ll go our wonderful way to the 1pm performance.
Fidget Feet, the national company for aerial arts in Ireland, in partnership with Donegal Arts Office, are bringing to the festival a sensational new outdoor street performance with 8 Fidget Feet performers working on their new aerial movable rig ‘Soarapod.’
This new work is inspired by ‘The tale of ‘Merrymind.’ Come along to one of the shows and see some of the well known characters from this famous Frances Browne story. You will be transported with movement dance, theatre and comedy to bringing the magic of this story alive. Show lasts 35-40 minutes.
PS: This is an outdoor performance so come dressed for all weathers and if you need to bring a camping chair during the performance please do!
