Bingo Wings was due to tour again in 2020, with shows in The Civic Theater in Tallaght, Dublin, 16th 17th April, and The Black Box Theatre, Galway, 29th, 30th April and 1st May, and at IADF in An Grianán Theatre Saturday 4th July.
This tour is now postponed and we are working with the venues and the funders in the hope that we will be able to tour it again. To thank and celebrate all the work and creative energy that all the FF artists, creative team, arts workers, community participants, workshop facilitators, funders, venues, board, staff audiences, and anyone that was part of this Bingo Wings journey so far, we wanted to share this mini-edit of the show.
Head on over to our Facebook page where you can watch our full length recording of the Bingo Wings premier performance at Lime Tree Theatre in September 2019!
Below you can watch the celebration symposium event at the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance in the University of Limerick and also an edit of the residencies in Limerick, Kerry & Donegal .
Bingo Wings was created in 2019 and is our largest indoor show to date, working with theatre director Jo Mangan of Performance Corporation and Writer Tom Swift, set designer Sinead O’Hanlon, costumes designer Sinead Lawlor, lighting designer Sarah Jane Sheilds, music by Jym Daly, rigging design Lee Clayden & rigging Matthew Horton, Production Manager Tomek Rola, Stage Manager Leanne Vaughey, Chief LX Alan Mooney, and all the FF cast Aisling Ní Cheallaigh, Ronan Brady, Chantal McCormick, Karl Quinn, Maire Dee, Sianna Bruce, Kathryn Cooley, Christina Zauner and Matthew Horton.
Thanks to funding from Arts Council of Ireland, Limerick City and County council, Donegal County Council, Kerry County Council and all the venues that supported the research back in 2018; An Grianán Theatre, Hawk’s Well Theatre, The Black Box Theatre, Lime Tree Theatre and Backstage Theatre and all who believed in my crazy ideas even if it took me eight years to find the funding to make and tour the show.
To all the artists, arts workers, community groups in Tallaght & Galway we connected with, we hope that all are safe & we hope to be able to work together again. This is a moment for all of us to reflect, cocoon, and support all the health workers.
We would like to thank everyone who has come to our performances, workshops, and events and supported us in any way and all our venues, festivals we tour to, indoors and outdoors and FF’s home the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance and Irish Aerial Creation Centre and to all our funders. We cannot do what we do without your support.
We hope to be back on stage with you in person soon!
