Urban Flys
In 2016 Spraoi festival in Waterford, Ireland, commissioned Fidget Feet to create a new Vertical Dance show, with live music. Using specially composed music and original choreography, the audience watch to the skies as a musician plays live as he flies down the side of a building. This piece can transform any urban building and give it wings and can be adapted to different buildings.
Fidget Feet is part of a Vertical Dance Forum (VDF) with five other European and International Vertical Dance practitioners: Retouramont (France) initiated the partnership, Aeriosa (Canada), Gravity & Levity (UK), Histeria Nova (Croatia), Il Posto (Italy) and Kate Lawrence (Wales). Through it’s actions and meetings, the network seeks to strengthen the identity and the visibility of Vertical Dance and of I’ts professional practitioners towards the audience, institutions and partners.
Vertical Dance Forum is co-funded by The Europe Creative programme of European Union.
